Itzal.coffee

Originally "Arabica / Bistro & Specialty Coffee". We have worked in the construction of the new Itzal Coffee Brand, a Salvadoran coffee shop that promotes the local consumption of 100% Salvadoran specialty coffee from the Apaneca mountain range.

Naming:

During our exploration we were able to identify many interesting meanings about the mountain range and its rich cultural heritage, in the production of specialty coffee thanks to the freshness and quality of the flavors in the mountain range itself.

The Izalcos region comes from the roots itz (obsidian); cal (house), and co (place), which translates into "city of obsidian houses". From these roots we were able to create a name that will highlight an identity with the region and also a better positioning as a 100% Salvadoran specialty coffee brand.

A series of key messages were developed that could also integrate this into the various communication channels, in its physical store and in digital media.

The project has been part of the Technical Assistance for the implementation of the Central American Regional Economic Integration Project (INTEC).

* The program, implemented through the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and the European Union, is part of the training of 54 companies and business organizations in the Central American region in the process of designing, using and registering trademarks to improve the positioning of their products with export potential.
